The Montour Falls Fire Dept. runs a bunker program in conjunction with students working for a degree in Fire Protection Technology through Corning Community College, NY. Students live next to the fire hall in a two family house owned by the department. Bunkers are required to put in fifteen hours of station duty a week, and answer all alarms when available.
